Visible System Driver, unvisible DVD Driver

Hallo,

I installed Windows Professional x64 instead of Home Premium. Now the Windows Explorer behaves in the strange way:

1. it shows the SYSTEM RESERVED Drive width drive letter K.
2. If the DVD drive is empty (no disk inside), the drive is not shown in the left tree navigation of the windows explorer. However, if I select Computer on the left side, the driver is visible on the right side of explorer together with partitions C, D and SYSTEM RESERVED DRIVER K. If I put a disk in the driver, it appears suddenly also on the left side in the folder navigation tree.
3. I wanted to install missing driver for my TV Tuner (Hauppauge WindTV HVR-3300). Installation fails with the message, that on the System Reserved driver there is to few free space.

In the forum I have read how to get rid of SYSTEM RESERVED drive within the Windows Explorer. Nevertheless, I would like to know, what is wrong with my computer. The seccond point is strange, unpleasent, but not so important (as I can open the empty drive from the right side of Windows Explorer. The third point is important, because I cann't use my tv tuner on my computer.

1. Remove with the disk management the drive letter from this partition!
2. The display in the left folder tree window in Windows 7 is completely normal and can not be changed!

Thank You for the fast answer.

1. Hiding the SYSTEM DEVICE worked well.
2. Before I have had Home Premium, DVD drive was allways visible as well in the navigation part of the Windows Explorer as in the right contents part. It only changed the label in the left navigation part depending on if at all or wich DVD was in drive. I have looked on other computers running Window 7 professional and there is DVD drive permanent present also in the navigation part. So if somebody knows the remedy, I would be thankfull.
